Cookie Policy

Effective date: 1 April 2025 · Last revised: 5 April 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how LTprophecy uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you use our platform. We use cookies to keep the product working, to remember your preferences, and to understand how the platform is being used — so we can make it better.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They serve a variety of purposes — from keeping you logged in across page loads, to helping us understand which features are used most frequently.

Cookies set by the website operator (us) are called “first-party cookies.” Cookies set by other parties — such as analytics or authentication providers — are called “third-party cookies.” LTprophecy uses both.

We also use localStorage and sessionStorage for similar purposes — for example, to remember your table column configuration or preferred sidebar state. These are subject to the same principles as cookies.

2. Why we use cookies

We use cookies only where there's a clear reason to do so. We do not use cookies for advertising, we do not build profiles for targeting, and we do not sell cookie data to third parties.

The core reasons we use cookies are:

  • To keep you authenticated as you navigate between pages
  • To protect your account from cross-site request forgery attacks
  • To remember your UI preferences so you don't have to reset them on every visit
  • To understand aggregate usage patterns so we can prioritise what to improve
  • To monitor application health and diagnose errors

3. Cookies we use

The table below describes the categories of cookies used on LTprophecy:

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services that LTprophecy uses:

  • Clerk. Handles authentication and session management. Privacy policy at clerk.com/privacy.
  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage. We have enabled IP anonymisation. You can opt out via your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out extension.
  • PostHog. We use PostHog for product analytics — understanding feature adoption and user flows. PostHog can be configured to self-host, and we do not share identifiable data.
  • Sentry. We use Sentry for error monitoring. Sentry receives error context including your session ID (not email or personal data) to help us diagnose issues.

5. Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block, delete, or restrict cookies. Here are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:

Please note: disabling essential cookies will prevent LTprophecy from functioning correctly. You will not be able to stay logged in or use the platform effectively without them.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites asking them not to track you. LTprophecy currently does not respond to DNT signals because there is no consistent standard for how they should be interpreted. We will revisit this position as standards evolve.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new cookies or change how existing ones work. When we do, we will update the “Last revised” date above. For material changes, we may also notify you through the platform.
